Arteum

Arteum specialises in travel retail, distributing and curating cultural products and souvenirs.

The company operates nearly 30 stands in France located within museums and French cultural institutions, including the Paris Opera, the Eiffel Tower, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the Invalides, the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, the Parc Zoologique de Paris, the Catacombes, the Musée Carnavalet, the Musée Matisse, the Mucem… It also manages its partners’ e-commerce websites and has developed expertise in managing cultural establishments (ticketing, exhibitions, digital services, communications, restaurants, boutiques, etc.), including its first management contract for the Maison Gainsbourg in Paris.

By entrusting their stores to Arteum, tourist and cultural sites outsource activities that demand genuine retail expertise, including architecture, visual merchandising, personnel management, product publishing and licensing, procurement, and e-commerce. Thus, it allows them to avoid capital expenditures (capex) and to manage their income statements more easily, thereby improving their financial performance.

Arts et Biens increased its capital investment in 2017 to support Arteum’s growth, a company created by Lorraine Dauchez.
